The Automotive/Diesel Technology Department offers hundreds of dollars of scholarships each year. However, on average, the program usually awards the larger scholarships to college students who’ve already demonstrated their commitment towards earning a level from the automotive technology program. The department does want to award scholarships to incoming freshmen and therefore encourages incoming freshmen to apply for scholarships as described above. Today’s computerized, refined vehicles require expert, knowledgeable automotive technicians. Gone are the times of wrenches and paper restore manuals, changed by advanced diagnostic tools and highly skilled technicians.
